Untouched Letter…
He never saw her, but could feel her presence
Egging him on, motivating him
“What do I write?” he would think…
“What would she like to read?”
And so the words would flow…
Drawn by an unsaid need…
And he created beautiful worlds for her,
Told stories of far-away times
Like a magician played with the words,
The tinkers, bells and chimes
He would lose himself into his art
Every tale was his life’s story
Whether it was about the future untold
Or pages from the book of history
He didn’t know her, or did he?
She wasn’t just a reader of his thoughts
Her love for his art was his inspiration
What breathed life into his plots
She never saw him either,
The beautiful stranger that he was
But she fell in love with every word of his
Every comma, and every pause
He could read her mind it seemed
Penetrate her very soul
His writings were pure magic
His words just made her feel whole
She dreamed the worlds he created
A life less ordinary
A timeless, boundless expression of love
Into which she’d get lost in a hurry
It was as if he was right next to her
Holding hands, ever present, forever there
She could feel the candles light up around them
As he breathed every word, and in her eyes stare
Silently they would communicate
One language, one emotion, one voice
Just the two of them, lost into each other
No chaos, no sound, no noise!
No one knows what came first
Her deep deep love for his words
Or his pent-up desire, an unquenchable thirst
Two people who would never meet
Yet were born to inspire each other
A love story no one could foretell
A love story like no other!
An author’s love story with his reader, his muse
Is an amazing tale that has no end, no start
It is an untouched letter, no one else understands
Delivered straight to her soul from his heart
Really superb writing.
